The verdict: What’s the best inventory syncing app for Shopify?

The ‘right’ choice depends on your store type and what you need out of an app. Syncio is the most versatile app for the widest variety of different store types, has an in-built store discovery directory and a user-friendly set up process, which makes it stand apart.

In terms of pricing, Syncio has tiered performance-based plans depending on the number of products synced, so you’ll never pay for a service that you aren’t using. Conversely, both Shipturtle and Multi-Store Sync Power have fixed monthly payment plans. The pricing for Multi-Store Sync Power is based on the number of products in your connected store, rather than the number of products you actually sync.

The verdict: What’s the best app for managing physical inventory?

Both SKUSavvy and Pulpo WMS cover almost every step of the warehousing process, with the only marked difference being that PULPO WMS requires barcode scanning at every stage for accurate syncing, whereas you type any inventory adjustments directly into the SKU Savvy app. SKU Savvy can also automatically generate purchase orders. If you think this will be a big time saver for your store, this is probably the better choice.

SyncX on the other hand is specialised more in inventory syncing across different locations to one central fulfilment warehouse. It also has the ability to auto fulfil orders. It does not provide warehouse layout and picking recommendations though.

Pricing is calculated per order for SKU Savvy, whereas PULPO WMS has four fixed priced subscription plans. SyncX has three different subscriptions for their three apps, but they’re significantly more affordable. Their prices are determined by the number of product variants in your store.

The verdict: What’s the best demand forecasting app?

Prediko and Assisty specialise in demand forecasting and do it really well but they don’t cover real-time product syncing or shipping. Sumtracker, on the other hand, covers a wider use case but has less detailed forecasting capabilities. So it really depends on what you need out of the app.

Pricing starts lower for Assisty, but has a higher premium plan. Their pricing is determined by your Shopify plan. Prediko pricing starts higher but their premium plan is lower than Assisty’s. Prediko’s pricing is based on your store’s total revenue. Sumtracker is based on total order volume and their top/premium plan is the most expensive of the three.

The takeaway

All the apps we’ve analysed cover different use cases, so the right app for you depends on your business’s unique needs. You may find that many of these apps are best used in combination. For instance, you could combine Syncio’s automated inventory syncing capabilities with Prediko’s demand forecasting powers or SKU Savvy’s warehousing solutions.

If you’re looking for the most user-friendly inventory sync solution to discover and connect with other Shopify stores, then Syncio is the app for you.
