Shopify doesn't sync inventory between stores natively. So most merchants try to do it manually or reach for a feed-based app, and find it doesn't fit.
Feed-based apps pull stock data from supplier files on a schedule. They're not designed to keep live Shopify stores accurately synced with each other.
Syncio is specifically built for this. When stock moves on one store, every connected store updates immediately.

SyncX is a powerful tool, but it's built for a different use case: connecting Shopify to external data sources like supplier CSV files, FTP feeds, Google Sheets, and ERPs. It can technically handle store-to-store connections, but that's not what it was built for, and the limitations show.
Syncio is built specifically for store-to-store syncing. It creates a direct, real-time connection between any Shopify (or WooCommerce) stores. Here's how the two apps differ:
Real-time vs. scheduled sync
Syncio's sync mechanism is instant. The moment stock changes on one store, every connected store reflects it automatically.
SyncX operates on scheduled sync frequencies, ranging from every hour to every 24 hours. The windows between these scheduled syncs leave gaps for products to sell out on one store and stay available everywhere else for hours, leading to oversell risk.
Two-way sync
Two-way sync on SyncX requires paid plans on both stores. On Syncio, two-way sync is built into the core product - stock movements on either store update the other automatically. Both stores need a Syncio account, but neither needs to be on a paid tier to get two-way syncing.
One app vs. three
SyncX splits the store-to-store workflow across multiple apps: Stock Sync for inventory, Order Export for orders, and Fulfill Tracking for shipments. That's three separate subscriptions and three different dashboards to manage. Syncio handles inventory sync, order forwarding, and payout tracking in the one app.
Bottom line
SyncX is the right tool for managing inventory from supplier feeds or external data sources. Syncio is the right tool for keeping two or more Shopify stores accurately connected with each other.
Any Shopify store that needs to keep inventory in sync with one or more other stores. That includes multi-store operators, suppliers syncing with retail partners, dropshippers sourcing from multiple brands, multi-vendor marketplaces, and merchants expanding to new markets.
Importantly, you do not need to own both stores to connect them through Syncio.
No. Syncio supports unlimited store connections. Whether you're connecting two stores or twenty, the same real-time sync applies across all of them.
You can sync at the product level and choose which products to include. If a product has multiple variants, all variants sync together – you can't currently exclude individual variants from a synced product.
Yes. Syncio supports Shopify-to-Shopify, Shopify-to-WooCommerce, and WooCommerce-to-WooCommerce connections. If one of your connected stores runs on WooCommerce, you don't need a separate tool as Syncio handles the cross-platform sync automatically. Learn more about our WooCommerce capabilities.
Yes. Destination stores can choose which specific location Syncio syncs stock to, which is useful if you want inventory updates going to one warehouse or fulfilment location rather than another.
Install from the Shopify App Store and have your first stores connected in minutes. No developers, no configuration, no scheduled runs.
